The first reaction of the cycle is the radiative proton capture on <sup>12<\/sup>C and the rate of this <sup>12<\/sup>C(p,<span id=\"MathJax-Element-21-Frame\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"presentation\" data-mathml=\"&lt;math xmlns=&quot;http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML&quot;&gt;&lt;mi&gt;&amp;#x03B3;&lt;\/mi&gt;&lt;\/math&gt;\"><span id=\"MathJax-Span-125\"><span id=\"MathJax-Span-126\"><span id=\"MathJax-Span-127\">\ud835\udefe<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>)<sup>13<\/sup>N reaction is related to the <sup>12<\/sup>C\/<sup>13<\/sup>C ratio observed e.g. in the Solar System. The low-energy cross section of this reaction was measured several times in the past, however, the experimental data are scarce in a wide energy range especially around the resonance at 1.7 MeV. In the present work the <sup>12<\/sup>C(p,<span id=\"MathJax-Element-26-Frame\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"presentation\" data-mathml=\"&lt;math xmlns=&quot;http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML&quot;&gt;&lt;mi&gt;&amp;#x03B3;&lt;\/mi&gt;&lt;\/math&gt;\"><span id=\"MathJax-Span-156\"><span id=\"MathJax-Span-157\"><span id=\"MathJax-Span-158\">\ud835\udefe<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>)<sup>13<\/sup>N cross section was measured between 300 and 1900 keV using the activation method. This method was only used several decades ago in the low-energy region.
